(Mad Homicidal Clown From Hell Rampage!)
Welcome to my new 1-D adventure game called simply "Mad Homicidal Clown From Hell Rampage!" or MHCFHR! . It may look a bit strange at first, but after few minutes in it, you'll see that it's completely insane.
To install game, just unpack mhcfhr.rar in some directory on your hard drive. That's all. You may wish to add some shortcuts to it, but it's not necessary.
After unpacking, run winsetup.exe in that dir to set up your
preferences. I suggest that you'll run it windowed at first, just to
know it's working allright, and then if it's working allright switch to
fullscreen. The game utilises 320x200 resolution, but scaled sprites
are somewhat better in 640x400.
To start playing just run das_id.exe - et voila!
You are that fat clown-like nerd at the centre of screen.
You can control clown by pressing Left and Right
buttons on your keyboard. To activate thing you're standing on, press Space,
to use current inventory item with that thing you're standing on, press
Enter. You can bring on the invenory by pressing Tab.
(it seems to be some glitch, but you'll have to press it twice at
first).
There are some advanced keyboard commands. To save your game press
F5, to load it later press F7. Be careful with F9, 'coz it's for
restarting the game. F12 is intended for saving screenshot in
"screenshot.pcx" file. Be aware that you have only one save game slot!
There is the status panel at the bottom of the screen. First two
lines are describing your current location, next line shows active
inventory item and in the last line you can see so-called "energy
counter". When it reaches zero, you'll die.
After death, you'll be given with short explanation of its cause (eg
"You were killed by a giant killer bot")
and a very small menu with three buttons: Restart, Restore and Quit.
I'm sure, you know how it all works.
I'm not including any spoilers here, but only a few hints to make
things clear.

It utilizes some music I've grabbed here and there from internet,
actually:
Music appears to be classical and Irish folk, therefore public domain,
but if you know it's not PD - email me ASAP, please.
